Budget 2025: they spend everything on the army - social cuts are inevitable
In June, the parliamentary corps approved the draft budget for 2025 - and it became clear: the lion’s share of the funds will go to military needs, mobilization, weapons and defense. Spending in this sector will account for a record share of federal spending, according to official estimates. Economists and social activists immediately warned: against the backdrop of such spending, social programs will become vulnerable. Schools, hospitals, pensions, regional subsidies - everything may be under review. Many regions have already felt the first symptoms: delays in payments, reductions in subsidies, cuts in social services. For ordinary people, June became a month of anxiety: rising utility bills, inflation, and lack of indexation meant that life would become more difficult. It is especially difficult for those who depend on social guarantees: pensioners, families with children, people with low incomes. June 2024 showed: a war that seems like a distant conflict directly affects the wallets of ordinary citizens. The state makes its choice - and the price of this choice falls on the population.
