Armenia signs a transport and logistics agreement
03.04.2025
In March 2025, the Armenian government announced the signing of a major memorandum of cooperation in the field of transit corridors and logistics with an international consortium group. The project includes the modernization of railway and road sections, the construction of warehouse hubs and the attraction of private investment in port logistics in neighboring countries, providing alternative transit routes.
It is expected that the project will have a multiplier effect: a reduction in logistics costs for local exports, an increase in transit flows, the creation of jobs and the growth of related services. For small and medium-sized businesses, this is a chance to reduce costs and enter new markets. However, financing - partly through external loans and private investment - imposes transparency and compliance requirements.
