Russia-Iran-Azerbaijan Agreement on North-South corridor

Russia-Iran-Azerbaijan Agreement on North-South corridor
November 2025 was remembered for the signing of a memorandum between Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan on the development of the North-South Corridor. This strategic agreement potentially changes the region's logistics map, opening up additional alternative routes between Eurasia and Middle Eastern markets. For Armenia and Georgia, this is both an opportunity and a challenge: new routes could increase regional competition, but also provide opportunities for integration. Practical implementation requires preliminary investments: modernization of port infrastructure, harmonization of customs procedures and a political degree of trust between participants. For now, the memorandum is a sign of intentions, but its implementation will determine economic trends for the coming years.
