Issues of cooperation in the field of intellectual property protection were discussed at the IPH

Members of the Commission for the Protection of Competition Tigran Markosyan and Shushan Sargsyan today received the Counselor for Intellectual Property Issues of the French Embassy in the Russian Federation, Nelson Emery, and the economic attaché of the French Embassies in Georgia and Armenia, Francois-Henri Cloarec, the Commission for the Protection of Competition reports. During the meeting, issues related to the protection of intellectual property, in particular trademarks, were discussed. Representatives of the MPH presented the legislative regulation of manifestations of unfair competition associated with the use of trademarks by business entities and the creation of confusion regarding their activities. The interlocutors also exchanged views on the challenges of protecting economic competition in Armenia and the opportunities for developing cooperation in this direction.
