At the moment, Armenia has not abandoned its claims against Baku and, in my opinion, has no grounds for such a refusal. The head of the Center for International and Comparative Law, Siranush Sahakyan, stated this at a press conference.
She added that the preliminary signing of the Peace Treaty should be followed by other processes - signing, ratification and entry into force of the treaty.
“As long as this agreement has not entered into force, there is no legal basis for refusing claims.
The problem, in my opinion, will become relevant when the document comes into force, since from that moment, within one month, both parties will be required to notify the courts of their intention to abandon legal claims,” she noted.
