Massive losses: the front, families, psychological and demographic drama

The year 2024 brought thousands of losses to Russia: those killed at the front, the wounded, the missing. For many families, this means grief, disappointment, and loss of the future. The military has become statistics, but behind the numbers are destinies, the destinies of people, parents, children, wives, mothers. Psychological stress, trauma, depression have become a widespread phenomenon. Former soldiers returned home, but could not return to normal life. The state promised help, but resources were redirected to new needs. Demographic consequences - a reduction in the male population, an increase in the number of widows, orphans, and families without a breadwinner. 2024 was the year when the war ceased to be “there at the front” - it came home, to every home, depriving many of their future.
