The visit of Vice President J.D. Vance is a key step towards institutionalizing peace and expanding the strategic partnership between Armenia and the United States, Nikol Pashinyan said after meeting with the US Vice President. “I presented to Mr. Vance the positive processes taking place in the South Caucasus, as well as details of the discussions that took place a few days ago in Abu Dhabi between me and the President of Azerbaijan, which were aimed at possible new steps to strengthen peace between our countries. “I also reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to supporting the peacekeeping and peacekeeping mission of the US government, including the activities of the Peace Council.” Pashinyan noted that both sides emphasized the importance of the consistent implementation of the TRIPP project, one of the most important achievements of the August 8 summit. “I gladly accepted President Trump’s invitation to participate in the first meeting of the Peace Council on September 19,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
